Bellabox reviews Alpha Keri’s Body Slimfit

Hands up who doesn’t want firmer, fuller, more gravity-defying breasts? What about a flatter, smoother tummy? As for the rest of you, please take your bouncing chests and sylph-like hips out of my sight before things turn ugly.

Right, where was I? I think I speak for most of us when I say we could do a little help in the bust and the thigh regions. So when the new Body Slimfit range from Alpha Keri landed on my desk, I was pretty chuffed. With their Heat-activating Slimming and Firming Serum promising to "reduce fat accumulation, slim, firm and shape" and their Bust Lift and Firm Cream to create "an invisible bra lift effect" I was eager to get started. Here’s how it all went down.

Heat-activating Slimming and Firming Serum

The Promise: This serum will reduce fat accumulation on those good ol’ problem areas of the waist, tummy, thighs and hips, helping to slim, firm, contour and create a sleeker silhouette. Regular use will also help with reducing the appearance of cellulite, especially if used in conjunction with a body scrub (and even more so combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise, sorry).

The Technology: The serum is packed with hard-working active ingredients that have been proven to help break down localised fat deposits. It contains Fat Burner + Caffeine Pro-complex and Gluco Blocker technology which work together to turn fat into energy, boost the metabolism, and increase the drainage of excess fluid and the excretion of toxins from the body. Neat, huh?

The Daily Routine: So, this is not one for the lazy gals, because you need to apply this twice daily, with results most visible at the six-week mark. You need to rub the serum into your problem areas in a circular motion, morning and night. I can vouch that it absorbs really easily, and leaves the skin feeling smooth and silky.

The Pro-tip: Do not apply too much! The serum is heat-activated to allow deep penetration and rapid action of the ingredients. The first time I used it I went too heavy and got very hot and bothered. You do get used to it, but easy does it.

The Result: I concentrated on my thighs, and after near-religious use for six weeks (I may have missed one or two applications, I’m only human) my skin looked a lot smoother, more toned and hydrated. I didn’t make any real changes to my diet or exercise regime, but my leg dimples looked a little less orange-peel like. And I’m not out of the ordinary as Alpha Keri’s trials showed 87% of women experienced fat reduction and 100% confirmed wonderful firming, smoothing and hydration of the skin with 58% improvement in skin elasticity in just 6 weeks.

Bust Lift and Firm Cream

The Promise: Essentially, it’s touted as a mini boob-lift in a bottle, without the pain or downtime. It promises to help banish breast sag, firming and lifting the bust, like an invisible bra.

The Technology: The cream lifts and firms from within the breast tissue, via marine collagen filling microspheres which increase by 10x in volume when absorbed, expanding, filling and lifting the bust. In addition, actives from the African “Tree of Life” create an invisible lifting net on the skin to improve breast shape. The skin is also deeply hydrated for a softer, smoother chest.

The Daily Routine: You massage the product into the bust and décolletage twice daily. I felt a bit like J-Lo or Kim Kardashian at first (ie. someone vain who has way too much time on their hands) but I started to find it quite therapeutic. The lovely, velvety but feather light cream feels gorgeous on the skin and I’ll definitely keep it in my daily regime.

The Result: After four weeks, my often neglected décolletage looked smoother and more hydrated and my boobs did feel noticeably perkier and fuller. Even after going off the pill the same month. I didn’t measure on myself, but in the product studies 50% of women experienced a lifting and push-up effect over 5mm. And 100% of women observed an increase in breast firmness and elasticity. Can’t argue with that.
